Mundane boob tube saturday

Today's horoscope:
Yes, what occurs in the next 24 hours is mundane - but in the best possible way.
Average moments are work of art.
The best part is that you can appreciate them as such.
Its a beautiful, normal day.

These days I only dare to stay in front of television to catch PBA games but today will be an exception since a. its PBA off season b. pay day is still days away so I decided to be a bum on a saturday.
After breakfast, I got myself a copy of Inquirer and Star newspapers to update myself with news. Its a refreshing change from my daily routine of reading news or chismis from local online forum. I breezed through the Sports, Business, Politics then to the Entertainment section to find out what's in store for me on the boob tube on a saturday?
10:00am – C/S / RPN 9 Olympics Men's Basketball Semifinals
United States vs. Argentina
Lithuania vs Spain
Looking on the schedule made me miss Solar Sports & BTV. I'm seriously considering switching to Destiny cable since Solar also got the TV rights for PBA free TV. They will air next season's games on RPN C/S & Solar. I wont even start my rant about NBA or Balls! Solar is generous enough for Skycable subscribers like me to broadcast it one CS
1:00 TV5's Mysmatch
Its funny how TV5 shows reminds me of certain shows, we'll that goes for the other two networks too.
Mysmatch is a celebrity dating show like MTV's you gotta go!
2:00- UAAP UST vs NU

2:30 Sports on TV at NBN 4
Be updated on Philippine Sports(who's resigning because of the failure in team Philippines in Olympics stint), Olympics (hey, its only held every four years so make the most out of it), post Ginebra championship euphoria. Yesteday coach jong was supposed to guest on sports talk but he had to cancel it to meet Ginebra's management. Anyway here's a radio interview of Ronald Tubid & Paul Artadi.
4:30 GMA7's Wish ko lang
Its always heart warming to watch this show.
5:00 TV'5s Lipgloss
My new guilty pleasure.
5:00 Cinemax The Fast & The Furious Tokyo Drift

6:30 GMA7's Celebrity duets
Interesting list of celebrities participating on Celebrity Duet's second season, except that one who plastered his face on EDSA. Anyway, in both newspapers that I bought, there's an article for Phil Younghusband. Kudos to Phil. Star for Phil in the shower photo lol.
Phil is a Brit-Pinoy football player - signed by Chealsea football club- who loves to sing. He's an eye candy so I'll forgive him to every tune that he'll miss. But that's the point of the show anyway, bring out the singer side of willing celebrities from other fields. Phil's other competitors are TV personalities Joey & Melanie Marquez, fashion designer JC Buendia (who promised to unleash the Geisha in him), beauty queen Carlene Aguilar and more!

7:30 GMA7's Bitoy's funniest videos
Ricky Lo's Funfare column featured Michael V who is on the cover of Reader's Digest. Bitoy is not hyped as the best comedian around but he's a talented and smart guy. His comedic performance was even applauded by Asian TV awards in 2004, 2005 & 2006. Way to go Michael V!

10:00 ANC's Hardball
In last night's episode they talked about Ginebra's victory to my delight.
I'll be off to buy chips for the perfect saturday TV bum adventure. Who knows maybe something exciting may come up?
